The NFL has banned the “hip-drop” tackle, a term that some NFL players weren’t even familiar with during the 2023 NFL season. The penalty will be a 15-yard penalty and automatic first down. The league will also fine players to enforce the new rule.
Lions proposed challenge rule passes. Teams will now receive a third challenge if EITHER of their first two challenges is successful.
